On April 27, 2025, General Secretary Tô Lâm published a profound article titled “Vietnam is One Nation, One People”, emphasizing that after more than a century marked by blood and tears, the Vietnamese nation has risen, overcome wars, healed its wounds, and turned toward the future with a spirit of solidarity and compassion.

The victory of April 30, 1975, stands as a resplendent milestone—crystallized from the blood and sacrifice of millions of outstanding sons and daughters of Vietnam, from the profound patriotism, steadfast will for independence, and unyielding spirit of our people.

Although our ancestors may have once stood on different sides of history, it does not alter the truth that all of us, whether in the homeland or overseas, share the same Lạc Hồng bloodline. Together, we must strive toward the great national goal: “Building a strong, prosperous Vietnam, standing shoulder to shoulder with the powers of the five continents.”

General Secretary Tô Lâm emphasized: We must not let our nation lose its opportunity, must not let our country fall behind, and must not repeat the tragic cycles of history. The national interest must always be placed above all else.

We must always remember that every step of progress achieved today is built upon the sweat, tears, and blood of our forefathers.

As proud children of Vietnam, it is our solemn duty to inherit the essence of our national traditions, and at the same time act boldly, creatively, and innovatively to build a strong and mighty Vietnam.

We bow our heads in deep gratitude to the heroic Vietnamese mothers who sent their sons to the battlefield, and to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the independence and freedom of our homeland.
